Hawzah News Agency (Damascus, Syria) – Chairman of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) Ayatollah Mohsen Araki met with Syrian Grand Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun in the sidelines of 13th International Conference of Muslim Scholars in Damascus, Syria on Thursday, March 8.
During this meeting, the Iranian cleric and Syrian Mufti discussed major issues in Islamic world including the unity among Muslims and related matters.
The Syrian Grand Mufti Sheikh Hassoun highlighted the importance of sincerity in performing actions and asked the Chairman of the WFPIST to expand their activities worldwide.
The Syrian scholar also expressed happiness over the meeting of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei with the Syrian Minister of Endowment.
